Paediatric Speech Pathologist

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist with expertise in paediatric feeding therapy to join our team, serving infants and children across the Gold Coast and surrounding areas. Specializing in feeding, speech sound disorders, and myofunctional therapy, this role involves assessing, diagnosing, and creating individualized treatment plans to develop critical feeding, oral motor, and early language skills. We welcome applicants at all experience levels, including recent graduates with a passion for paediatric feeding and speech.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of feeding skills, oral motor abilities, and early language development in infants and young children.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on feeding, swallowing, chewing, and oral sensory needs.

  • Utilize a strong understanding of early language development to support communication alongside feeding skills.

  • Guide and educate families with strategies to enhance feeding and communication skills at home.

  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure well-rounded care for each client.

  • Document and monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on feeding and language milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology.

  • Current member of Speech Pathology Australia.

  • Eligibility for a Blue Card, Yellow Card, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

  • Current driver’s license.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric feeding therapy, oral motor skills, and early language development.
